Product reviews schema is an informal name for `Review` or `AggregateRating` structured data associated with a specific `Product`. An individual review can identify its author, rating, and reviewed item; an aggregate rating summarises multiple ratings with values such as `ratingValue` and `reviewCount` or `ratingCount`. On eligible pages, accurate markup can help search systems understand visible review information and may support product or review enhancements.
Why it matters: Mark up only genuine review or aggregate-rating information that visitors can see and that refers clearly to the product on the page. Use the correct nesting or `itemReviewed` relationship, valid author and rating values, an accurate count, and the required properties for the intended Google product-snippet or merchant-listing experience. Keep identifiers and review data consistent across visible content, structured data, and any Merchant Center feed. Validate syntax and eligibility, monitor the relevant Search Console report, and update or remove stale values when reviews change. Valid markup makes a page eligible, not entitled, to a richer result; Google controls display, and star visibility or higher click-through rate is not guaranteed.
